How much time do I have to complete the training?

The time it takes to complete training & certification depends solely on your pacing & your

ability to grasp the subject matter.

How long does it take to complete the certification?

For online training, once you pass the online exam we will mail you the certificate within 5 to

10 business days.  For self-training kit via mail, once you have completed self-training,SSCI

will schedule you to complete the on-line examination; alternatively, an exam can also be

completed via email.  The examination must be completed within a 4 hour window.  Upon

satisfactorily passing the exam, certification will be granted.

Is this certification approved?

Similar to any other Lean & Six Sigma programs, our certification is based on the collective

experience of Master Process Improvement practitioners, rather than a government-based

set of standards.  In other words, no regulatory or governmental agencies control any Lean

& Six Sigma certification, yet its issuance commonly signifies a certain level of command of

the subject matter.

Is the training applicable at my work place?

Both Lean & Six Sigma is like Mathematics & English -- the methods & language are generic,

& it's up to you to apply it per your needs.  Thus, as mentioned in our Philosophy, our

program  teaches one how to think rather than what to think, making it readily applicable to

any given situation.

How many chapters are included in the training kit?

For, Six Sigma can be broken into 5 primary chapters: -- Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve,

Control (DMAIC) -- which is common among the vast majority of Six Sigma programs

We will provide more information on Lean once it becomes available.

Who can take the test?

Examination is meant to test the individual's grasp of the subject matter.  Thus, the person

pursuing certification must solely perform the examination.  If at any time the test is not

performed by the certification pursuant, test results are automatically discounted &

certification disqualified.

What is the passing score?

Our exams will typically range from 20 to 30 questions, depending on the mix of difficulty &

associated length of the questions.  We consider 85% correct responses as the passing

threshold.  If passing score is not achieved, the pursuant would have additional attempts at

examination.  Note: the exam questions change with every attempt.

For how long will the certification last?

Like a university diploma, our Lean & Six Sigma certification has no expiration.

Do I need to complete a re-certification?

Re-certification is not necessary, but we encourage you to constantly pursue additional

knowledge in both Lean & Six Sigma.  It is an ever-growing & constantly-tuned set of

concepts, so one may find great benefits in the latest approach to solving problems.  Our

kits are also continuously improved to include the latest Six Sigma techniques.

I have seen other programs that cost over $3,000. Why is yours significant less?

Firstly, there is no other known Six Sigma programs like the one provided by the institute. 

Most programs will require you to invest heavily in licenses, time, & consultants; great results

are clearly achieved, but at an extensive cost & commitment.  In contrast, we give you the

main concepts, those which would have the most impact towards change & results.
